Spot the need
Members, residents or partners bring us a problem they see in the community.
Services
Everything this table does fits under four headings. Here's what each one looks like in an ordinary month in Benoni.

01 · Community outreach & welfare
Direct, hands-on help for local community initiatives, youth programmes and welfare projects. We bring people, transport and tools, and we use our network to find whatever else is missing.

Backing local athletic and community clubs, like the Phoenix Community Boxing Club
Hands-on work days for youth programmes and welfare projects
Rounding up materials, transport and donated skills from members and their businesses
Checking back after the handover, not just turning up for the photo
02 · Charitable fundraising
Events, drives and targeted campaigns. We're a registered NPO, and 100% of public funds raised go back into the community, from children's heart surgery to the security fencing we funded.

The Boikanyo Foundation, funding heart surgery for children since 2006
1000 Legends: R50,000 for school meals, uniforms, medical kits and food parcels
Community drives like our Easter egg collection at Oakfields
Partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital Trust
03 · Networking & fellowship
A table is a room of young professionals and business owners who see each other every month and work side by side on weekends. That builds trust faster than any networking breakfast.

Regular table meetings with a proper agenda and a proper meal
Socials, braais and family days
A welcome at tables across Southern Africa and beyond, and Euro 63 on home turf in April 2027
Friendships that carry on long after you turn 40
04 · Leadership development
Every member holds a role sooner or later. You learn to manage a budget, chair a meeting and deliver a project with volunteers, which is harder than managing people you pay.

Executive committee portfolios, elected every year
Project management, event execution, financial governance and public speaking
Governance under our constitution and the national body
Room to step up into regional and national roles
How a project runs
01
Members, residents or partners bring us a problem they see in the community.
02
We talk it through at a meeting and vote on whether we take it on.
03
An event or campaign gets built around the project so people know exactly what they're funding.
04
Members show up, finish the job, hand it over and come back to check it's still working.
Back Boikanyo, put your staff behind 1000 Legends or sponsor a whole project. We'll tell you exactly where your money went.
