Round Table Golden East 181 is more than a club. We’re a community of driven men
who believe in showing up for each other, for the East Rand, and for the children
whose lives depend on us.

we’re a brotherhood of doers, not talkers.
Founded over 50 years ago in Benoni, GE181 is one of South Africa’s longest-running Round
Table chapters. We bring together professional men aged 18 to 40 who share three things: a
hunger to lead, a heart for community, and the willingness to roll up their sleeves and do the
work. From funding life-saving heart surgery for children, to running community drives, to
building deep, lasting friendships everything we do is rooted in action, not talk.
OUR HISTORY
Half a century of showing up.
GE 181 was chartered as part of the international Round Table movement, an organisation born in the UK in 1927 with one simple idea bring young men together to develop themselves and serve their communities.
Five decades later, we’re still here one of only two active Round Table chapters on the East Rand, and one of the most respected on the continent. In 2018/2019 we were named Round Table International Club of the Year, the highest honour the global movement awards.
Every generation of Tablers has left something behind. The Boikanyo Foundation. Decades of community projects. Hundreds of men who went on to lead businesses, families, and communities shaped, in part, by their years at the table.

Our Legacy Project
The Boikanyo Foundation: a second chance at life.
In 2006, GE 181 founded the Boikanyo Foundation
to fund critical heart surgery for children whose families
couldn’t afford it. In partnership with the Nelson
Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust, we’ve given
dozens of children a chance at the lives they were
meant to live.
Every Tabler at GE181 takes ownership of Boikanyo. It’s
not a side project it’s the standard by which our
brotherhood measures itself.
